Cost-efficient DVR video services

Woburn, MA (USA)

OzVision offers video storage solution services that can save businesses more than fifty percent as an alternative of purchasing a DVR, claims the company.

According to comparisons with many of the major DVR manufacturers, purchasing the OzVision 4IP with a subscription for storage can provide end users with significant cost-savings of at least half the amount of buying a DVR and supply them with additional services and benefits as well, states OzVision.

The offsite recording and stores video off-premise that can be scheduled on continuous record or by time, event, motion or relay with real-time images available 24 hours a day. Complete packages that include remote DVR services, in addition to video guard tours, secure look-in and event video storage, start as low as USD30/month and range up to USD 80 for packages that include a full 6 months of 24/7 storage, accessible anytime on OzVision's servers.

"At OzVision, we believe the security industry will never look at CCTV the same way again," said Avi Lupo, president of the OzVision Security Division. "OzVision is more than a technology for replacing DVRs. We are dedicated to delivering new video service solutions that empower security professionals and business owners to choose and discover new ways of managing video. We are removing the boundaries."

The video management technology, combined with the partnerships built with alarm dealers, central stations and manufacturers within the industry, have allowed OzVision to significantly lower the price structure and establish a service model that the company believes will become the standard of the future.

This capability for off-site storage provides a distinct advantage over digital video recorders (DVRs) that are traditionally housed on-premise and are at risk of being stolen or vandalized.

"We have been offering advanced verification, notification and exploration services. Today we have added accumulation - at an incredible economic savings to businesses," added OzVision president, Dr. Alan Avidan; "we are revolutionizing the industry yet again," he added. These new services will appeal to commercial security and the remote unattended facilities, including second homes."

Remote video services packages that include video guard tours, secure live look-in, and event video storage start at USD 24 /month and range up to USD 40 for unlimited packages. Video verification, which was first introduced to the industry by OzVision, is also available as a separate service.

"OzVision is the only company to offer a total video solution. And there are many other benefits too that go beyond purchasing a standard DVR," added Lupo. From plug-and-play installation to simultaneous transmission and viewing over the Internet, LAN,WAN, and cellular to patented secure compression technology to reduce file sizes and transmission times to the easy to use web accessible dashboard in quad-camera format, this is truly video without limits!"

In order to receive these video services, subscribers need the OzLine 4IP unit, which provides a video gateway that connects any analog cameras to the Internet and supplies remote monitoring capabilities with real-time access for businesses - and even home owners - through a user friendly, Internet-based portal from which subscribers can view, record, retrieve and remote activation of electronic devices.

Subscribers don't need to worry about internet security. The system uses the OzVision Secure Network (OSN), which has three advanced levels of protection. The first forms a Virtual Private Network (VPN) through the firewall and connects to the OzVision Secure Server. The second is the formation of a peer-to-peer secure network, which protects the user database behind a second firewall and eliminates the visibility of the transmissions. Third, the video streams are encrypted using the strongest commercially available encryption algorithm available today, the Advance Encryption Algorithm (AES 128). Access to the system is controlled via multiple levels of passwords and roles and privileges definitions for users and administrators.

"DVR Services is the wave of the future. We believe that our scalable and innovative technology platform not only provides us with a competitive advantage over traditional DVRs, but also offers the more advanced DVR functions and allows us to maintain a low-cost pricing structure. Even if someone already has a DVR, the OzVision system can act as a back-up offering protection, redundancy and preparation for the future," states Lupo.
