Compro compact H.264 cube network camera

Taipei, Taiwan

Compro Technology is launching a new sleek and compactly designed cube network camera - the Compro CS40.
Marketed as being the smallest in its class, Compro CS40 is a credit card sized network camera expressly designed to provide an easy-to-use and stylish video surveillance solution for home owners and small businesses. The Compro CS40 network camera is integrated with a PIR (passive Infrared motion detection) sensor and LED, and can detect intruder movements even in pitch darkness. On detection the device will instantly turn on the white LED for clear viewing and snapshot/event recording. To reduce bandwidth requirements and accommodate different recording and monitoring needs, the CS40 utilises the highly efficient H.264 video compression technology and supports dual video streaming. Moreover, a 10x digital zoom feature is available to allow users to zoom into details in the live video when needed.

The Compro CS40 is not only a small and compact cube network camera, but it also has a stylish design, allowing it to fit in nicely with any home or office. The small form factor means CS40 is ideal for deployment in homes, restaurants, small offices, retail shops, or any area where space is a concern. Even at this small size, the Compro CS40 still captures clear and vivid video.

In addition, set up for installation and remote monitoring with the CS40 are said to be simple and almost effortless. The camera offers a plug-n-play style installation, with no router configuration required for viewing the camera images over the Internet. The camera also provides a smartphone app allowing users to securely view and manage multiple cameras over the internet.

Other features provided on the Compro CS40 cube network camera include progressive scan technology, motion detection, real-time SMS and email alert messaging, built-in microphone and speaker for 2-way audio communication, and a user-friendly designed mounting bracket. The CS40 also includes a USB socket for wireless connectivity through an optional Compro USB wireless adaptor. In addition this new camera is fully supported by Compro’s embedded Linux network video recorders.
