Combo cards with PCI Express interface

Taipei, Taiwan

GeoVision has launched combo cards with PCI Express interface, GV-1120/1240/1480 PCI-E, based on the latest PCI Express technology. With the rise of the PCI Express technology, motherboards with a mix of PCI Express and PCI slots are becoming more and more common. GeoVision´s new GV-Combo Card PCI-E has a x1 PCI Express connector to be interconnected with PCI Express x1 slot. This approach will allow customers to adopt new technology on the digital security surveillance.

PCI Express and PCI Standard GV-Combo Cards. The differences between the PCI-E and PCI GV-Combo Cards lie in their connectors and power requirements. The current PCI Combo Card has a standard PCI connector for PCI slot. It also defines DVI-type and Dsub-type for different styles of connectors and cables connection.
The PCI-E Combo Card has a much smaller x1 PCI Express connector for the x1 slot. The PCI-E Combo Card supports Dsub-type only. It requires electrical power from computer power supply.
These PCI-E and PCI GV-Combo Cards have the same models for GV-1120, GV-1240, and GV-1480. They all feature multiple video and audio input ports, TV output, 480 fps display rate, and digital I/O accessory card support. The video compression techniques include Wavelet, MPEG-4, Geo MPEG4, Geo MPEG4 (ASP), and Geo H264.
