Vista Triplex

Norbain will be showinga new range of Vista products and solutions at IFSEC 2006. "We're very excited about IFSEC this year," says Andrew Pigram, Vista Brand Director. "We have some of the most advanced and customer focussed products and solutions available and really look forward to speaking with our customers to ensure that, as always, we are fully meeting their CCTV requirements."

Products on display will include the SmartControl Event Management System (EMS).
The SMART EMS from Vista is a client-server system capable of controlling up to nine operator stations. The system provides a high-performance alarm management tool featuring dynamic alarm processing and database. The EMS is completely scalable for cost effective expansion and comprises of two main components:

1. EMS Server - the control centre application
This is the central communication interface between the digital Vista video transmission systems (SmartMobile, SmartDisc and SmartTel) and the operator stations equipped with EMS Client. The server is also the platform for the master and alarm databases allowing dynamic allocation of incoming alarms to the next available or designated operator.

2. EMS Client - for operator stations
The Client module gives dynamic alarm management, video archiving and processing for up to nine operators. Each client acts as the operation, alarm verification and configuration programme for the digital video transmission systems.

Another product on display is the SmartMobile. It offers all the benefits of remote transmission and digital recording, with the added benefit of being truly mobile by meeting Vibration Approvals EN 50155. Suitable for any remote access digital recording application, SmartMobile is compatible with the Vista family of Smart recording & transmission units as well as the full suite of monitoring software. Features include long-term recording onto removable hard disk drive with adaptive multi-track management for schedule-controlled, permanent recording, or video motion and contact-triggered event recording respectively.
Manual or event triggered connection for live video transmission to remote monitoring centres is another feature. The unit has a compact design, suitable for surface, flush, ceiling and 19" mounting.
The new Vista Triplex DVR will premiere at the show and brings with it a host of exciting additional benefits than previously available. Now available with DVD-R recording option, the new Triplex has over seven times the archiving capacity than available with its predecessors.
The new Wavelet (JPEG 2000) compression engine allows users to compress video to a wider range of file sizes which allows recording to an even higher quality whilst also reducing storage requirement and bandwidth. This effectively means that the DVR will store 30-40% more on the hard drive than previously available. Another benefit is the superior update performance over a network - especially important when using Vista's Graphica and WaveReader.
The DVR is the hard disk recording medium for the eclipse award winning camera. The Vista eclipse DVR records the entire 360 degree 3 mega pixel image so, when played back via a Vista eclipseT, the recording contains all the information from the original scene. This makes it possible to ePTZ (electronic pan/tilt zoom) as if viewing images live, all while the Vista eclipseT continues recording.
By using retrospective ePTZ the whole recording can be examined in detail ensuring that critical information is not overlooked. A particular event can be reviewed on a virtual camera and then the evidence can be selected for recording on any conventional device connected to the analogue outputs.
The Vista Quantum combines many of the features characteristic of high-end DVR solutions whilst retaining a clear focus on the needs and priorities of smaller installations. With 4, 8 or 16 channel inputs, the Vista Quantum is available in three models varying with the capacity of the unit's hard disk.
With its MPEG 4 compression choice of hard disk sizes, advanced alarm and recording options, Vista Quantum represents a highly effective and flexible range of DVRs with export of images to flash drive or the on-board DVD.
Simultaneous record, playback, background image archiving and remote viewing is available with no loss of record performance, and comes with up to 500Gb storage in one unit. The units can display either a full screen picture or quad 9 way or 16 way displays. The DVR has variable recording functionality at up to 100 images per second, normal time-lapse, alarm inputs, motion detection and schedule recordings.
Some Static Domes will also beshowcased. New models of both the VFD and VVRD ranges will be on show.
