Brickcom simultaneous dual-band wireless router

Hsinchu, Taiwan

Until recently, most routers used only the 2.4GHz frequency for wireless transmission. However, this frequency can potentially experience heavy traffic and interference from other applications using the same frequency, such as cordless phones, microwaves, and other networks. Brickcom has developed a unique dual-band wireless router, the DWRT-600N, specifically for use with IP surveillance systems. Equipped with 802.11n simultaneous 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band wireless, the DWRT-600N is able to prioritise the transmission of network camera video streaming over regular data files to deliver smooth video and audio surveillance without delay.
Brickcom’s IEEE 802.11n dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) solution is ideal for applications, such as high-definition video streaming, which demand high bandwidth because it can stream up to 150Mbps as opposed to the maximum 54Mbps speed of single-band Wi-Fi. The DWRT-600N works with wired and IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n wireless network surveillance devices such as IP cameras, network video recorders, and related Brickcom networking accessories.

The DWRT-600N is designed to simplify the setup between Brickcom cameras and the local area network with features such as LED indicator and WPS. The LED indicator is a special design by Brickcom which notifies the user when the router is connected to a network camera. With the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) feature for easy camera to router connection, the connection requires only the push of a button on the router and a push of the button on the camera. The connection will be made automatically within two minutes, requiring no networking configuration.
