The combination of Brickcom's innovative algorithm and embedded beeper allows the installer to simply rely on his/her hearing and hands to get this task done quickly. According to Brickom, with 3 simple steps, even a first-time user can focus the camera in 1 minute with the help of Focuseasy technology.

The main concept behind Focuseasy is similar to the car reverse radar. During the focusing operation, the focal information can be relayed to an installer via the buzzer. The further the image is out of focus, the longer the intervals between successive beeps. The closer the image is to the correct focal distance, the faster the sound of the beep. Once the image is focused, the buzzer makes a long beep for 3 seconds as notification.

Conventionally, it is common that two or more people work together to "ensure a CCTV camera or IP camera is focused", with at least 1 person adjusting the camera lens and another giving instruction while checking the image on the monitor. Due to communication difficulties and video transmission latency, the installation often becomes a time-consuming process. This is especially true for complex installation tasks, such as installing a camera outdoors and setting up large numbers of cameras, or for less skilled installers.
