Bosch social alarm systems awarded "Competitive Strategy Leadership Award 2006"

Germany

Bosch Security Systems has been awarded the "Competitive Strategy Leadership Award 2006" by the consulting firm Frost & Sullivan for its achievements in the European social alarm market.

This award honours Bosch for the implementation of its innovative strategy in the existing competitive environment. Frost & Sullivan's evaluations were based on an analysis and quantification of market factors using established criteria such as market growth, correlation between sales and investment or penetration of new markets. A survey carried out among social alarm experts and users also formed part of the assessment.

Bosch has been developing its social alarm units and social alarm management systems since the beginning of the 1980s. These systems have served the elderly and disabled populations, allowing them to enjoy an independent life in their own homes for as long as possible with the security of always being in contact with someone who can come to their aid.

At the beginning of 2003, Bosch took over Estafette Holding B.V., a social alarm company with its own sales companies in the Benelux countries and Germany. Since 2004, Bosch has been expanding to increase its presence in the European markets and to accommodate the needs of the growing number of elderly people in Europe.
