Axxonsoft upgrades VMS and celebrates 10th anniversary

Wiesbaden, Germany

Axxonsoft is celebrating its tenth birthday at ISC West next week by launching a new version of the Axxon Next VMS.
The latest version of the Axxon Next open VMS platform allows the user to create infinitely scalable video surveillance systems of any level of complexity. New features have been added to make surveillance even more effective.

The Interactive 3D map, for example, now supports an immersion mode: a semitransparent video overlay is placed on the map, and objects in the frame are aligned with their depictions on the building blueprints. The immersion mode which also supports box and fisheye cameras makes monitoring more interactive, making it easy to see how in-frame object movement correlates with object movement in real space.

Camera layouts can now be of any size or arrangement: users can configure them in any way they want. Viewing tiles can fit video of any aspect ratio. This allows viewing panoramic images obtained by dewarping fisheye camera feeds. Dewarping is performed on the graphics card, which allows placing any reasonable number of fisheye cameras on a single screen without overloading the client CPU. This function includes support for Immervision panomorphic lenses as well.

This version of Axxon Next also implements autozoom, which performs automatic digital zoom and follows moving objects. This is especially effective in conjunction with ePTZ cameras.

There is one more new feature of note - the Axxon Next 3.1 has gained green stream technology, which among other features automatically picks the camera feed for client workstations that best matches the resolution of the current camera window. This helps to significantly reduce CPU usage and bandwidth consumption.

As at past events, the company's stand in Las Vegas will also feature some of its most popular vertical solutions including the POS Intellect and Auto Intellect.
