ASIS Middle East conference returns in 2011

Manama, Bahrain

Following a successful 1st Middle East Security Conference held in 2009 in Dubai, UAE, ASIS International has announced that it will return to the region in 2011 and is now accepting abstracts for presentations. The 2nd ASIS International Middle East Security Conference will be held in Manama, Bahrain on 20-22 February 2011.

The 2009 conference covered a wide range of security issues in 33 high-level educational sessions divided over 3 parallel tracks. The conference was attended by over 300 security professionals, corporate executives, consultants and government officials from 31 countries. The conference featured keynote appearances by His Excellency Lt General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Commander in Chief of the Dubai Police Force, Mr. Mohammad G. Al-Zahrani, Executive Director, Safety & Industrial Security at Saudi Aramco and Dr. Raymond H. Hamden, Clinical & Forensic Psychologist, Human Relations Institute.

ASIS expects its 2nd Middle East Security Conference to be an even greater success. Planned features include:

• A track for Chief Security Officers (CSOs) organised by the CSO Roundtable of ASIS International
• An enlarged exhibition featuring the latest in security technology and services
• Unrivalled networking opportunities at the President's Reception, business lunches and breaks

The conference will address a full spectrum of topics in security management such as: supply chain security, loss prevention, hotel security, intellectual property, maritime piracy, terrorism, executive protection, internal theft and fraud, competitive intelligence, brand protection, physical security, cyber security, investigations, due diligence and global business issues.
