"Blue Heaven" at Frankfurt with an eneo CCTV integrated solution

Frankfurt (Germany)

Frankfurt´s skyline is famous worldwide, and it has boasted another eye-catcher since November: the recently opened 4-star hotel "Blue Heaven" will surely be an attractive centre of attraction for trade-fair visitors from around the world. This is not only due to the building´s 87-metre height, but above all the blue silhouette and striking window architecture of the Radisson SAS Hotel. And everything is also an all-round success when it comes to security, which was provided by our partner Alarm- und Sicherheitstechnik Lohrer GmbH. The specialists from Weinheim installed the video surveillance system detailed in the requirements specification and opted for technology supplied by Videor Technical.

In the spectacular lobby with its free-hanging suspended wine tower, two eneo Mini Domes monitor the lounge as well as the entrances to the ballroom and business centre. The precabled integrated solutions are easy to install and were selected from the eneo WDDG Series, which satisfies all demands with its total of eighteen different camera/lens combinations. Its compact dimensions allow them to merge unobtrusively into the sophisticated architectural concept that emphasises the first-class quality of the 440-room hotel.
The view from the gallery with its 1,500 bottles of wine offers a breathtaking sight over the lobby, restaurants, lounge bar and library. One floor lower in the Blue Heaven's underground car park is where the high-resolution and light-sensitive eneo VKC cameras catch the eye. Contained in an elegant VHP housing, their compact dimensions and aesthetic appearance is what makes the camera systems excel, so they are the ideal choice for installation in representative locations. Not to forget the entrances and exits as well as the tradesmen's entrance where the Fujitsu CG-202PA1V cameras are installed. Their Wide Dynamic Range characteristics allow them to deliver top-quality images even in the difficult light conditions caused by vehicle headlights.
Camera images are switched over an eneo EKR Matrix Switcher (32/8) to two eneo VMC-19 monitors with optimised input signal delay of less than 0.5 seconds as well as Progressive Scan Technology, which gives them the cutting edge over comparable monitors. And finally, two eneo DLR2-16N Digital Recorders with a total of 880 GB storage capacity was the choice for the recorders. Together with a powerful PC workstation they form a self-contained, exclusive LAN/Ethernet security network for video surveillance; the bundled Remote Software can display live images and the recorded imagery (single/multi frame) without interrupting recording.
Ralf Scheckenbach, Commercial Project Manager at Lohrer GmbH, was very enthusiastic after successful completion of the first project stage: "A fantastic project from our point of view - an interesting location, outstanding technology and, above all, a very satisfied customer." His two colleagues Stefan Rohm and Stefan Maass, responsible for on-site technical implementation praised the "exemplary and fair communication policy" of GERELT GmbH from Berlin, which was responsible for electrical planning.
"This demonstrates that a project can flow smoothly and according to schedule when both sides promptly exchange their information and completion status, and endeavour to seek appropriate solutions."
