AG Neovo's widescreen displays assist in Arabian desert oil project

Taipei, Taiwan

AG Neovo, has played a part in a major cross-border oil exploration venture in the Middle East. More than 2,000 X-W19 and 120 X-W22 displays were chosen and installed by JO for use by its technocrats, engineers and office workers.
"Their adaptability to the environment—even as harsh as a desert--is what you rarely find in any other monitor solutions," says Waseem El Kot, sales manager of HIT Co.

JO is a US$340 million project that explores for and produces oil and gas in the onshore Partitioned Neutral Zone (PNZ) located between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. It needs displays of an extraordinary breed as it seeks to extract heavy oil from fields lying in the PNZ through "steam-flood" technology that is being used in this part of the world for the first time. Other than performing all the intended duties, they will have to be built of glass sturdy enough to endure the test of an unusually harsh climate.

Fully aware of the challenge posed to JO technocrats and engineers in the form of extreme climatic conditions all year round, HIT came up with the X-Series widescreen displays. And their exceptional strength did prove effective in withstanding wild temperature swings, sandstorms and other tests of the elements. In case is an environment where extremely high temperatures are common and night-time temperatures can drop to freezing or below during colder periods of the year. Further, there are sandstorms that can move whole sand dunes.

"The other side of the coin is maintenance," says Waseem El Kot of HIT. "The truth is that maintenance is
hardly an issue with AG Neovo displays--they have been built to be so sturdy as well as powerful." Credit for this extraordinary durability must go to their distinctive metal housing wrought for added strength. But the jewel on the crown is a hardened glass exterior crafted by using AG Neovo’s proprietary Neo-V Optical Glass technology. Not only resistant to scratch and impact damage, this best-in-class hard glass shields the panel from dust and moisture ingression.

The JO professionals have not been let down. The high-quality, high-resolution screens enabled them to monitor and read the intended contents with precision; the built-in HDCP capacity allows them to faithfully display HD-format video and other DVI/HDMI-compliant digital content.
