AES-Intellinet gets contract from Republic of Georgia police

Peabody, MA (USA)

AES-IntelliNet is announce a contract award with the Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Republic of Georgia. The scope of the project involves providing mesh radio communications coverage for alarm monitoring in the cities of Batumi, Georgia and the capital of Georgia, Tblisi. This contract represents the latest addition of the AES-IntelliNet wireless mesh radio alarm communications system in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region.

The Georgian Security Police Department has been using a one-way radio alternative for their alarm communications needs but had significant difficulties. According to the head of technical development service for the Georgian Police, Zurab Tuskia, "We had bad experiences with other systems we tried and we were losing signals. In the life safety industry, it is imperative that all signals get through and that none are lost" Mr. Tuskia's deputy, George Jaliashvili agreed and added, "This is never a problem with the AES-IntelliNet radio mesh network and that was a critical determining factor"

The AES-IntelliNet's alarm system is a self healing, long range wireless mesh radio communications network and works in conjunction with the Internet to provide the Georgian Security Police the ability to monitor alarms in multiple regions from one location, without recurring monthly communications costs or infrastructure fees typically associated with remote monitoring. The AES-IntelliNet mesh network also offers a more reliable, faster means of communicating alarm signals to central monitoring stations without relying on telephone lines or cellular services that are vulnerable to line cuts, weather conditions, radio jamming, and recurring monthly costs.

"This is further testimony to the quality and reliability of the AES-IntelliNet, 2-way mesh alarm communications network. For its superior reliability and low cost of ownership, this is a solution not just for the Georgian Department of Security Police, but for all customers who wish to benefit from the quality of the alarm service provided," says Mr. Vithanage, International sales manager, AES-Intellinet.
