Advancis has released the most recent version of its vendor-neutral physical security information management (PSIM) platform Winguard X3. The current release includes numerous innovations in event handling, camera visualisation, network functionality and more.

As an option, it is now possible to group or completely hide events, either manually or depending on pre-defined criteria. The use of column definitions enables to freely define content, display and sorting of the event list. The event list can be filtered individually by the user.

In addition, with regard to camera visualisation, the current field of view of the cameras connected to Winguard can be visualised graphically as an overlay at the camera symbol, provided that the interface supports transmission of PTZ status information. Using overlay definitions, the contents for labelling of video images can be freely defined.

Furthermore, the most recent Winguard release offers improved network functionality. Replication in the network has been optimised. The Hot Standby switchover time in systems with numerous clients has been significantly reduced. In case of changes of the workstation configuration, e.g. adding of a new client, a re-start is not required.

Finally, with the help of timers, procedures within the scope of event processing can be monitored with regard to time and notifications can be pre-defined. For creation of texts and workflows as well as for selected entry fields, automatic spellchecking is available.

These new features facilitate working with Winguard even more, so that the user in the control centre can efficiently control all technical systems installed in the building via the uniform Winguard user interface.

All of these new innovations will be presented in a live control centre environment at the Ifsec show, coming up in London next month.
