ACTi enable IP Surveillance for natural gas equipment manufacturer in Romania

Taipei, Taiwan

The ACTi IP surveillance system was recently installed in Totalgaz S.A., the leader of natural gas equipment manufacture in Romania. Under KMW Systems consultancy, planning and implementation, the IP surveillance system enables Totalgaz to monitor and manage the real-time video with ACTi activator software. Furthermore, it helps the future surveillance projects for other factories easy to expend without limitation.

KMW proposed ACTi as IP solution to replace the analogue one. ACTi MPEG-4 ASP compression technology, Full D1 720x576 resolution plus full frame real time video output satisfied the customers' needs. Also, under the installed gigabit network infrastructure, implementation was easy to be finished without adding any extra cable.

"ACTi provides a complete product range for professional applications in IP surveillance, and it is easy to choose suitable products for best usage. Furthermore, low bandwidth assumption from ACTi core technology can save storage space and network loading, which would save cost for our customers" says Marius Gavriluta, CEO, KMW.

There were various cameras installed in this project, which included the IP zoom cameras (CAM-5140), IP box cameras (CAM-52xx) and IP speed dome (CAM-62xx). 22 IP cameras were all managed by ACTi self developed software, Activator, which supports preview, record and also playback.
