3G-compatible PoE/Wireless Network cameras released by Vivotek

Taipey, Taiwan

The VIVOTEK IP7131/IP7132 is a network camera supporting either PoE or wireless connection for mobile remote monitoring and indoor surveillance.

The VIVOTEK IP7131/7132, incorporating the VVTK-1000 SoC processor, offers MPEG-4 videos at 30 fps in full VGA resolution. It comes with 3GPP/ISMA compatibility; a new ability allowing users to monitor cameras from not only standard web browser or application software, but also 3G cellular phones or any RTSP(Real Time Streaming Protocol) compatible media device.

What mainly differs IP7131 and IP7132 is that IP7131 supports built-in IEEE 802.3af-compliant PoE (Power over Ethernet) function while IP7132 supports a wireless connection for attachment to any existing 802.11g wireless LAN.

PoE is a new technology that transmits power along with data over standard network cables. With it, not only is the installment of a network camera easy to be implemented where it is inconvenient to feed the devices power from a power outlet but also the easier application of Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS) can be carried out to secure stable operations.

More features are enhanced in IP7131 and IP7132 to meet specific, versatile applications such as digital I/O interface, built-in PoE, and appropriate lens selection with CS-mount. Along with the free bundled 16-ch recording software featuring monitoring, scheduling, video motion detection, and recording, the VIVOTEK IP7131/IP7132 allows users to build up a surveillance system for their exclusive, various needs.
