Using a 2D analytical camera, a virtual fence can be easily influenced by environmental conditions, such as snow, fallen leaves, light and shadow changes, which may lead to false alarms. The new Huperlab model has stereoscopic vision, achieved with a 3D stereo camera, and allows the virtual fence to capture in-depth three-dimensional, real-time object information which is better able to distinguish the objects in their true position at different heights whether they are moving toward or away from the camera. As a result, Huperlab believes this latest device is perfectly suited to high traffic areas for higher degrees of accuracy.

Working as more than just a tripwire application, the Hupervision 3D virtual fence further allows the user to build a polygon-style fence with height and bi-directional detection for various scenarios. Once events are detected, video recording and event notifications will be activated for further analysis. Moreover, the security personnel and operators will receive push video event notification on their iOS/Android mobile devices, and will be able to playback an event on video in real-time, allowing them to verify the situation immediately.
