The Detektor International Award is an independent prize and as such companies cannot nominate their own products. Instead, the nomination is conducted by the editorial board of Detektor. This selection criteria is the main reason why it has become one of the most prestigious awards in the global security market. The jury consists of members of the editorial board of Detektor from three continents.
Products are divided into the following three categories: the Access Control category, the Alarm & Detection category and the CCTV category.
The overall winner in each category will receive the award for “Best Product”, the second will receive the “Highly Commended Award” distinction and third place will be presented with the diploma for “Innovative Achievement Award”.
The nominated alarm & detection products are:
- AGS1600, a radar based detection and tacking system from Navtech Radar
- vFence F501, a PoE laser perimeter control unit from Embsec.
- Calibre, a signalling device that utilises GPRS, IP or telephone paths from CSL DualCom.
- Easy Web Manager, a cloud based web portal and smartphone app for handling DALM products from Dualtech IT.

2013 Detektor International Award – Alarm & Detection nominees unveiled
