Everfocus rolls out 8 megapixel AI network cameras

Taipei, Taiwan

Everfocus has launched its new series of 8 megapixel full-colour AI network camera line with functional advantages of 24/7 full colour imaging, AI function ready, and fully NDAA-compliant.

The 8 megapixel AI network camera series includes 2 new models for outdoor environments, the  EBN3840-NV (Ceiling-mount) and EZN3840-NV (tube-type). Both feature a 3.6mm fixed lens and an 8-megapixel progressive scan CMOS sensor, the new network cameras unfold high sensitivity which enables them to offer clear colour display with less image noise in most surveillance environments; meanwhile, the WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) functionality enables the camera to provide perspicuous images even under backlight situations where the intensity of illumination can vary excessively.

Besides the 12VDC power supply, the network cameras also support Power over Ethernet IEEE 802.3af supplying power to the camera via the network for easy installation with only one cable, eliminating the need for power cables and reducing installation costs. Equipped with weather-resistance (IP66) housing plus true day/night functionality with automatic IR filter operation which enables night visibility up to 30 metres/98 feet and meets a wide variety of needs for outdoor surveillance.

Regarding the source of the chips used by IP cameras, and to fully comply with NDAA standard, Everfocus has mass-produced the "Taiwan Chip Web Camera" since 2020, and now it produces the second generation of NDAA-compliant chip products, with a focus on performances of all aspects in minimum illumination, wide dynamic range (WDR), electric focus speed, and video compression.

The security control industry has gradually evolved with the maturity and combination of the Internet of Things and artificial technologies, from the traditional surveillance cameras in the past to IP cameras, with the advent of the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things. The eyes behind the webcams are no longer limited to humans, but through AI, more comprehensive and precise monitoring and prevention are displayed. The EBN3840-NV and EZN3840-NV network cameras are equipped with a so-called "brain" so that the network cameras can think and judge without human input, and the function of passive transmission or storage of images is upgraded to an intelligent stage of active judgment and notification to meet safety needs today.
