He believes that the market for perimeter security is very strong, partly due to the security situation we are facing today.
”Perimeter protection is growing rapidly, with high demand for perimeter security at high-security sites. However, perimeter security is not as effective without strong integration with technical security. We need sensors that detect if someone is at or attempting to breach the fence, seamlessly connected to CCTV, seismic sensors, and other systems”, says Kettil Stenberg.
AI is becoming increasingly important
Kettil Stenberg also emphasises the importance of innovation.
”I usually say that everything that can be automated will be automated, and everything that can be digitised will be digitised. The same applies to AI – in the long run, everything that can be driven by artificial intelligence will be driven by artificial intelligence”, he says, and continues:
”We have already seen development here. Five or six years ago, AI was mostly found within CCTV and similar applications. But now, we see AI entering daily applications as well, used for identifying anomalies in areas such as access control.”
