Vanderbilt receives Lenel S2 factory certification

Wiesbaden, Germany and Parsippany, NJ (USA)

The Vanderbilt SPC interfaces with the Onguard access control system.

Vanderbilt has received Lenel S2 factory certification and joined the Lenel S2 Openaccess Alliance Program (OAAP). Vanderbilt’s SPC interfaces with the Onguard access control system and provides users the ability to receive alarm events from one or multiple SPC intrusion systems via an IP-based, encrypted communication.

“Vanderbilt has completed required factory testing at Lenel S2 to validate the functionality of its interface to the Onguard system. The interface enables users to control their SPC system - for example, control areas, detector zones, doors, and outputs - from the Onguard platform,” said John Marchioli, OAAP Product Management, Lenel S2. “We look forward to their continued involvement in the Lenel S2 Openaccess Alliance Program.”

“The SPC interface aims to improve the customer experience by providing a bi-directional communication strategy with the enhancement of a robust surveillance solution. In line with the Vanderbilt mantra of customer first, the SPC interface into the Onguard system features options such as filters for event transmissions and remote interaction based on customisable command profiles. At the same time, ATS/ATP logs offer transparent communication,” explains Alexander Scheffold, Senior Product Manager for SPC at Vanderbilt.

“The instant and remote access to any potential alarm helps save a considerable amount of time for those involved in maintaining the system,” he concludes.

Vanderbilt’s plugin to the Onguard system is compatible with all SPC IP-based intrusion systems with Firmware 3.8.5 or later and it is supported by Onguard software version 7.5 and 7.6.
