Today we begin with the finalists nominated in the Alarm & Detection category. These products will be studied and considered for their innovative & technological merits and originality by the Detektor International panel of judges and the winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony in Stockholm at the banquet on the evening of the 22nd October, at the start of the Skydd security show taking place in the city from the 22nd - 24th October 2024.

Here are the final three nominees for the Alarm & Detection category in no particular order:

Hanwha Vision of South Korea for the Radiometric Thermal Camera

Hanwha Vision's bi-spectral radiometric thermal AI cameras are designed for perimeter protection applications, including industrial facilities data centres and can also be used for traffic monitoring and more. Available for indoor use, but this series is nominated in the most part for the outdoor model TNM-C4940TDR/C4942TDR which combines advanced VGA thermal technology with 4K video. The series is designed to deliver clear images in all lighting scenarios, with AI-powered analysis for accurate object detection and temperature monitoring between -20°C and 130°C.

CSL Dualcom of the UK for the CSL Voicelink

CSL Dualcom for CSL Voicelink converts PSTN calls to 4G VoLTE, ensuring that analogue systems are future-proofed and can continue to make voice calls even after both 3G and 2G networks are shut down. The solution is primarily intended for elevators and other emergency telephony. With this technology, CSL creates a bridge between the old and new technologies and allows existing devices to continue to function after the PSTN shutdown.

Bosch Building Technologies of Germany for the Gun Detection System

The Gun Detection System combines video and audio analytics to detect weapons and gunfire at various locations so security personnel can be alerted for verification. The AI-powered solution can also detect and classify gunshots while estimating the origin of the sound. Add to that the Gun Detection System also provides video that can assist law enforcement and emergency responders in emergency situations.
