Digital encrypted locking system nominated for award
Oulu, Finland
The system comprises the locking cylinder, the user keys and the programming keys. Although the system is electronic, it does not require batteries or cabling as all the power it needs comes from the action of pushing the key into the lock.
Programming access rights with the programmable key and locking cylinder is simple and quick - nothing else is required. System users can authorize or de-authorize keys themselves and both procedures can be accomplished in seconds. Losing a key is no longer a security risk as access rights for the missing key can be deleted immediately.
iLOQ Privus is based on the same patented iLOQ technology used in the iLOQ S10 system which has long been used by countless housing associations and rental apartments, industrial and business premises, hospitals, schools and churches as well as in other locations with high security demands.
The Detektor International Awards feature three categories - Access control, alarm and detection and CCTV. The winners will be announced and awarded at the Skydd exhibition being held in mid-September in Stockholm. iLOQ won in the same category in 2008 with its iLOQ S10 system. The company has also won the IFSEC Security Industry 2008 award as well as receiving the InnoSuomi award from the President of Finland.
