Cortech expands development strategy

Knutsford, Cheshire

Andrew Durant is the new trainer at Cortech

Cortech Developments has appointed Andrew Durant, as the company's new Trainer. His position is part of a wider continuing strategic investment programme, for which Andrew will be responsible for delivering product training to the company's Technical Partners.

Andrew joined Cortech in January, in the newly created position of Trainer and will be working alongside the Learning and Development Manager, Ian Bulmer.

Having served 22 years with the Royal Air Force (Trade Group 8 – Security) RAF Regiment and leaving the RAF in November 2005, Andrew continued within the Security Industry working as a Service Coordinator and as a Self-employed; Close Protection Operative and Trainer for the Security Industry Authority (SIA).

Excited by the new opportunity, Andrew commented, “I am looking forward to the opportunity of being involved with the delivery of training for Datalog 5, Editor and ultimately Datalog MV for Cortech Technical Partners engineers and end users; ensuring the highest standard of training is maintained.”

The company believes that the creation of this new role will allow Cortech to further expand its commitment to learning and development, offering existing and future Datalog engineers the best possible training, helping them to successfully install, configure and manage Datalog on their end user sites.

Ian Bulmer, Learning and Development Manager for Cortech, said “Andrews appointment means Cortech can deliver more value and support not only to our Technical Partners and the engineers who attend our courses, but also internally to employees when we release updates to our products. I know that Andrew will play a significant role in making our training offering even stronger and we are thrilled to have him on board.”

Currently Cortech offers its Technical Partners hands-on training in a bespoke facility at the company Head Office in Knutsford. The comprehensive training courses, tailored to best meet the specific need of the trainees in attendance are intended to provide increased knowledge, improving everything from sales to situational awareness and end-user problem solving.
