Managing video security with just one tap

Taipei, Taiwan

Umbo, an artificial intelligence company building autonomous video security systems, offers a new and convenient way to manage and view security cameras, anytime anywhere.  For any SME, with the Umbo mobile app, users can access, watch, and bookmark events within their video streams on their mobile phone.

Unless you are a massive organisation with plenty of resources, you mostly process your video security needs in-house. This often requires a sequence of complicated procedures. Operators are tied to their stations because in order to make adjustments, they have to manage from their desktop. That can cause issues once they have to go about their work away from their desks. If something happens somewhere in the facility, the mobile app means that it is no longer necessary for someone to stop what they are doing and go all the way back to their work station.

When paired with the Umbo video AI Light, the Umbo mobile app can be invaluable. For example, quite frequently, Light might send an alert that there is someone where they should not be like inside the gates of a school campus at night. When that happens, nobody wants to get out of bed in the middle of the night to go to their desk to review a camera stream. The mobile app makes it easy to check in and evaluate what is the potential threat.

Umbo continues to add new functionalities to the Umbo mobile app whilst at the same time keeping it user-friendly and simple to use. Users can now view the online status of all their cameras with a single glance on the cameras page. If they want to review a certain event, users do not have to go on to the system and retrieve the file -- that can be done on a mobile device with just one tap.
