Instek Digital shows new solutions at Ifsec

Taipei, Taiwan

Instek Digital will present its new Global Series and C4 Retail NVR at Ifsec International at Ifsec International next week, taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, UK.
Instek Digital will showcase their latest Global Series solution, C4 Retail NVR, and last but not least, their powerful video management system (VMS) Command Center on their stand at the show.

The Global Series is a powerful system that provides an easy to manage solution and offers four features to optimise global surveillance architecture as a natural fit for organisations with hundreds of buildings or sites, for multi-national corporations, and for central monitoring stations supervising hundreds of remote and independent clients.

The Global Series solution consists of four functional elements--Global Administrator (GA), Stream Manager (SM), Relay Server (RS), and Mobile Server (MS)--for system integration and applications.

Instek Digital GA is a smart solution for centralised user, device and alarm management. It grants users and administrators access to a combination of sites – from a single system to an entire network of systems. It helps to connect geographical distributed sites and provides users with the ability to view various sites at once from a central location. Instek Digital GA enables user, device and alarm permission settings – ensuring a good experience, with passwords, no matter where the cameras are located, including optional limitations that can restrict access to specific cameras based on the business rules.

When multiple users across multiple independent sites try to access one live video stream simultaneously, the network bandwidth can sometimes be a problem. For optimised bandwidth utilisation, Instek Digital have designed the powerful Stream Manager. Instek Digital SM is a distinctive solution for transcoding surveillance video. It acts as a translation device between an NVR and client – transcoding input video stream to a lower resolution to save bandwidth – allowing multiple users to access the same video at the same time. Instek Digital’s streaming technology is designed to transmit high-quality video streams in H.264, MPEG4 and MJPEG over the internet – using Instek Digital’s (h)DVR, NVR or archive server as a video source.

In addition to the Instek Digital SM, the comany is also introducing the Instek Digital Relay Server. It is a universal content streaming server specially designed for large-scale, multi-site installations surveillance. Instek Digital RS streams a real-time single video stream to multiple users simultaneously.

For security people on the move, Instek Digital MS has been specially designed to view and control surveillance videos from anywhere at anytime. Instek Digital MS will stream real-time video to any web-browser on a mobile device, such as a cell phone, notebook or tablet PC. It provides mobile flexibility – viewing live and playback video, creating/modifying/deleting patterns and tours – and includes support for full PTZ control and DI/DO. Using Wi-Fi, 4G and 3G networks, Instek Digital MS ensures that while security personnel are on the move; they are always able to access the camera video on site. Instek Digital MS is designed to be the ideal mobile solution for global video surveillance.

Another highlight on the stand will be the Instek Digital C4 Retail NVR. With a monitor output – a display can connect directly – allowing the user to utilise the local functionalities of the C4 NVR. Included are the following local functions - live view and playback view, pattern & tour, instant alarm notification, PTZ, mobile client support and remote client support. It also supports four channel full HD live view. In addition it supports up to 16 IP cameras and also has space for four swappable hard-drives with a total capacity of 12Tb. Multiple C4 Retail NVRs can be connected via a network to allow both on-site and off-site management. According to the company, with cost-effective pricing, this system can be installed at multiple locations, making it an ideal NVR for today’s distributed retail business model.

Instek Digital's video management system (VMS) provides a variety of security centre solutions to satisfy the unique demands of the digital surveillance market. This powerful solution combines real-time live video viewing from multiple camera sources simultaneously along with instant playback and advanced smart search of video analytics on recorded data.
