Extinguishant control panel sets the standard

Dartford, Kent (UK)

Kentec Electronics Limited has launched an extinguishant control panel which is third party certified as compliant with EN12094-1:2003 and the Construction Products Directive (89/106/EEC). This control panel allows fully CPD compliant fire detection and protection systems to be installed for the first time when used with other certified components.

The Sigma XT Extinguishant control panel has three conventional detection zones, a 3 Amp power supply and battery charger and a single extinguishant control section in a compact enclosure which has been designed for ease of installation, commissioning and maintenance.
The clear and simple fascia layout provides an intuitive user interface with a full set of controls and is available in several language options and with a custom logo if specified.
The panel has many configuration options which are programmed using a simple system of code entry. The configuration is maintained in memory even if power is removed. Configuration options include the ability to select which zones contribute to the decision to release the extinguishant, selectable release delay time and selectable release duration time.
A range of ancillary units that connect to the Sigma XT panel via a 2 wire serial bus are also available. These include status indicators with or without controls for internal or external (weatherproof) use and a relay board which duplicates all of the main conditions of the panel such as fire, fault, activated, released, manual only mode, hold etc. The serial connection to these ancillary units provides considerable savings in cabling and installation time.
In common with all products manufactured by Kentec Electronics Limited, the Sigma XT control panel and ancillary units have a 3 year warranty.
