AES-IntelliNet opens new office in Mexico

Peabody, MA (USA)

AES-IntelliNet announces the opening of their new office in Mexico and the appointment of Ugolino Duran to direct its sales initiatives in the Latin American and Caribbean markets. In this role, Ugolino will be responsible for the growth of AES-IntelliNet's long-range wireless mesh radio communications business in these regions while providing stronger, more localized support for the existing Latin American and Caribbean AES customer base.

Ugolino brings high energy and passion for growing business together with over 22 years experience in the Electronic Security Industry, including over 18 years of international sales experience focused in Latin American and Caribbean markets. Much of his experience comes from working for companies that include Honeywell Ademco International, Notifier, Johnson Controls and Tyco Grinnell Fire Protection Systems and so Ugolino is well known and respected in the industry. In addition, he has served as president of the national fire protection association and intelligent building institute for Mexico. He speaks fluent Spanish and English with a working knowledge of Portuguese. Ugolino has a bachelor's degree in electronic systems engineering and has participated in many security and fire panel training courses from the industry's leading alarm panel system manufacturers.

With a career consistently ringing in double-digit annual sales growth, Ugolino plans to develop effective marketing strategies to grow AES-IntelliNet within his territory. According to Ugolino, "I am looking forward to working with the AES team and this excellent product line. AES-IntelliNet's long-range wireless mesh alarm communications system is a great solution and I am eager to grow this proven technology in my territory. Latin American and Caribbean markets can trust that AES will provide the level of reliability they and their customers need and deserve."

The AES-IntelliNet alarm communications system is a self healing, long-range wireless mesh radio network and works in conjunction with the Internet for backhaul to provide customers the ability to monitor alarms in multiple regions from one location, without recurring monthly communications costs or infrastructure fees typically associated with alarm monitoring. The AES-IntelliNet mesh networks also offer a more reliable, faster means of communicating alarm signals to central monitoring stations without relying on telephone lines or cellular services that are vulnerable to line cuts, weather conditions, radio jamming, and recurring monthly costs.

According to Mark Brandstein, COO for AES, "We are pleased to welcome Ugolino to the AES team and are very happy that he has decided to become a member of our growing family. While our new office in Mexico will bring AES closer to our customers in the Latin America and Caribbean regions, the addition of Ugolino to our team will allow us to literally 'be there' to stay close and better appreciate the needs of our customers. We are very fortunate to be able to rely on Ugolino's experience and reputation throughout this territory and are confident this will be very beneficial toward meeting our sales and customer support objectives in the Latin American and Caribbean markets."
