The test compared a range of cameras with WDR (wide dynamic range) capabilities to see what the technology actually delivers.

The VFDAS4V9DN is a Pixim powered camera and takes advantage of digital pixel system technology. With each pixel constantly self adjusting, it provides high quality images with an enhanced dynamic range - ensuring a balanced image in wildly contrasting scenes of view.

According to Benchmark Magazine, “Darkness compensation is very good, interestingly better than some of the other Seawolf options, especially when there are very bright light sources in the scene. Indeed, items within a few inches of a halogen spotlight still retain detail and colour accuracy, which was impressive.”
