Sicur to build bridge across the Atlantic
Madrid, Spain and Santiago, Chile
Fisa and Ifema, leaders in organising exhibitions in their ressective countries of Chile and Spain, have reached an agreement for the organisation of the first edition of Sicur Latinoamerica, International Safety Fair, with the main objective of becoming the major reference in the region over other monographic events, addressing the security sector integrally.
Sicur Latinoamerica will include the following subsectors: Occupational Safety and Health, Public and Private Prevention and Safety, and Emergency and Disaster Security.
It is estimated that around 150 companies will participate in the show to demonstrate the most advanced product technology, high efficiency systems and safety services in the world. More than 5,000 visitors including professionals, technicians and experts are expected to attend the first Sicur Latinoamerica, which will also feature a comprehensive programme of parallel activities including: international seminars, workshops, demonstration exercises, technical and commercial talks and business conferences.
Sicur Latinoamerica is bolstered by the potential of the host country, Chile, known worldwide for its competitive economy which is open to foreign trade, including a bilateral agreement that has eliminated taxes since 2004, as well as free trade agreements with 56 countries, and an Association EU-Chile agreement which has been in force since 2003.
Other points in favour of holding the Sicur Latinoamerica event in Chile are the significant increase in private industry security and the proposals for a new regulatory framework around it.
With this target in mind, the organisers of Sicur Latinamerica 2013 have officially invited all the private-public bodies of Chile to become a part of the world of security.
