The South Yorkshire based company has confirmed that any of its customers donating toys for Mission Christmas will have 10% taken off any recycling charges for their next collection. Sleigh bells ringing will become mobile phones, as any mobile device delivery sent to S2S from 30 November to 15 December will generate a 20p per handset donation from S2S for Mission Christmas. All customers need to do is quote ‘Cash for Kids’ when booking the collection.

“We’re extremely proud to work alongside Cash for Kids again,” said S2S Operations Director Grant Barton. “Our partnership earlier this year was a great chance for us to give something back to communities. This time we’re delighted to be able to help out once more. Mission Christmas is a great local initiative and we are proud to be involved in making Christmas special for all children.”

Cash for Kids supports children aged 0-18 who are disabled, disadvantaged or suffering from abuse or neglect. The charity is a grant giving one which supports individual children, groups and children’s charities where children are sick, deprived and in need of extra support. In 2014 alone, Cash for Kids raised over £1 million and helped 62,521 children in South Yorkshire alone.

One in three children are living in poverty in the Hallam FM area which is why Cash for Kids launched Mission Christmas, encouraging people to buy an extra present this year that Mission Christmas will give to a disadvantaged local child to make their Christmas morning special. New and unwrapped gifts are sought suitable for children and young people aged 0-18 years. People can donate at the S2S facility in Manvers, Rotherham, or other registered drop off points across the region.
