S2 supports Cathedral Archer Project

Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Stewart Wright makes the presentation to the Cathedral Archer Project

One of S2S Group’s Account Managers, Stewart Wright, recently presented a cheque for £200 (plus boxes of assorted biscuits!) to the Cathedral Archer Project (CAP) in Sheffield. The money was raised by South Yorkshire’s data destruction specialists in collaboration with Webhelp, which encouraged people to recycle unwanted phones, tablets and laptops over a three-week period, with the option of donating all or part of the value to CAP.

“CAP does amazing work for the homeless in Sheffield and it was great to be able to present them with £200 today,” said S2S Account Manager Stewart Wright. “I would like to thank everyone who recycled their unwanted tech for the cause. The biscuits were a special request and we are very happy to oblige!”

The initiative demonstrates how valuable unwanted old technology can be and recycling in this way via S2S not only ensures any data is completely destroyed in compliance with GDPR, it also sees monies go to a great cause too. CAP has transformed the lives of homeless people in Sheffield, by supporting their efforts to become independent and achieve better lives, while also providing vital advice on how to tackle setbacks and providing a haven where they can feel welcome.

“Recycling reminds us that everything has a value and CAP makes sure that thinking applies to people too,” added S2S Sales Director Brian Watts. “The project proves it is possible for homeless people to achieve a better life and we are proud to play a part in ensuring this vital work continues.”
