Ikegami has worked very closely with Pixim over the last two years, combining their broadcast expertise with Pixim's DPS technology, to ensure that every performance capability of Pixim's chipsets is incorporated into Ikegami's new line of cameras.

The hyper dynamic cameras integrate Pixim's DPS technology with Ikegami's digital processing architecture to reproduce a clear and natural image even in locations where there is a significant difference in the intensity of illumination, such as window areas or in lobby entrances of buildings.

Pixim's Orca chipset employs DPS technology to deliver the industry's first digital image sensor that captures light and converts it to a digital signal directly in the pixel resulting in accurate information collection by reducing the noise in the acquired signal.

Pixim's Orca chipset achieves a dynamic range of up to 120dB, capturing both dark shadows and bright highlights in the same scene at the same time easing camera installation and providing better data for downstream video analysis. Pixim's DPS technology also suppresses all smearing and blooming artifacts that are common with older analog image sensor technologies

Ikegami's hyper dynamic camera series takes full advantage of DPS technology. The box camera models include the ISD-A20 that boasts superior picture quality and color reproduction and the ISD-A21 that adds true day/night capabilities to capture an image with a light level as low as 0.022 lux in color and 0.0022 lux in monochrome. The ISD-A30 is Ikegami's indoor dome camera with the ISD-A31 offering a weather-proof, vandal resistant housing.
