NVT launches Digital EQ Hub
Surry, UK
The NV-872, NV-1672 and NV-3272 are 8, 16 and 32-channel active models that allow the transmission of real-time camera video at distances up to one mile (1.6km) using unshielded twisted-pair Cat5e cable. The Digital EQ Active Receiver Hubs continuously and automatically compensate for cable attenuation, ground-loops, and wiring polarity, independent of video signal image - meaning no video equalisation adjustments are necessary.
The NV-872 and the NV-1672 also feature a distribution amplifier (DA) built into each channel. These compact 1U high hubs feature two video outputs per input channel (NV-1672), or four outputs per channel (NV-872) for high-density distribution amplifier applications. All three hub models are equipped with built-in multi-stage transient protection and 'per channel' video quality diagnostic LEDs.
The latest PVD products, the 8-channel NV-8PS13-PVD and 16-channel NV-16PS13-PVD provide camera power, whilst receiving video transmission and delivering P/T/Z telemetry data, over a single 4-pair UTP cable. The power supply passive receiver hubs consolidate CCTV system cabling using standard EIA/TIA 568B structured building wiring and feature independently selectable 24VAC-OFF-28VAC outputs that can support camera loads of up to 1 amp per channel (NV-8PS13-PVD 8A aggregate / NV-16PS13-PVD 10A aggregate).
"NVT's new range of innovative AGC and single cable integrated PVD transmission products has raised the bar for CCTV video performance. Offering faster and more cost-effective high-performance video, NVT UTP video transmission technology is now being used for CCTV installations where the multiple benefits of NVT / UTP are being leveraged to yield significant savings, whilst improving the quality and consistency of transmitted camera video, allied to the benefit less physically cumbersome cable installations." comments Steve Proctor, NVT's sales director.
