New Metal mickey by Forward Vision
Hants, UK
The MIC1-440 recently completed its ATEX-certification testing, allowing it to address the needs of important vertical markets including the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. The MIC1-440 has generated interest from leading British integrators and consultants. The corresponding CSA/UL-certified model for North America is currently completing certification procedures and the camera has already secured initial orders.
The release of MIC1-440 coincides with the development of multiple communication protocol capability, enabling easy integration into various video management platforms. MIC1 is also gaining sales traction from its increased use in mobile systems, which include a recent project completed for the Hong Kong transport department. The system incorporated MIC1 into a mobile platform which transmitted live video via a 3.5G wireless network to transport department headquarters where the video was processed by video analytics.
The recent developments in the MIC1 product family is consistent with the Extreme CCTV Group's plan to support and aggressively grow the Forward Vision company which it acquired on July 31, 2006.
"Metal Mickey has built a loyal following among leading British security consultants for its performance and versatility," says Jack Gin, president and CEO of Extreme CCTV "We believe we have the best electro-mechanical systems engineering group in the world for CCTV. As we work to open new market channels in the rest of the world, the R&D team at Forward Vision continues to innovate new products - which include thermal sensing models for defence applications - that will create further opportunities for growth"
