New BS8418 monitoring package for installers

Installers can now offer BS8418 compliant remote monitoring and still retain full contractual control with the latest service from Farsight, a UK leading internet monitoring station.

The new service known as Core Internet Video Monitoring (CIVM) gives installers the opportunity to offer budget-conscious clients a complete BS8418-compliant package - installation, servicing and 24-hour monitoring - under their own brand.
"We know how much installers value their client relationships," says Les Ramsden of Farsight, "so we've put together a round-the-clock monitoring package that they can sell and manage as their own, but which we would operate on their behalf."
Les explains: "Getting the price right while still maintaining full BS8418-compliance is the key to CIVM. In the end we came out with an all-inclusive annual fee of just £995 which gives installers plenty of leeway to offer a competitive quote and still make a comfortable margin."
The CIVM service runs on E-surveillance, the industry-leading remote monitoring software. E-surveillance provides installers with a huge amount of management control. They can log in at any time to see live camera footage, check for faults or review a comprehensive 14-day event history. Everything is automated. Installers can even sign up online where they'll find full details of the service.
