The global financial and economic crisis creates continuing widespread uncertainty and instability. Such instability poses major challenges for international security and, as a consequence, international business security. The keynote address will focus on steps being taken to address these challenges and the prospects for global business set against the backcloth of the changing balance of international economic power. In particular, the opportunities and threats confronting European business will be examined and discussed.
Mr Kendry said: "I am looking forward very much to speaking at and participating in the ASIS 11th European Security Conference and Exhibition in London. The international community of ASIS provides a vitally important contribution to global business and commercial security and I am excited at the opportunity of exchanging views on the nexus between international political, economic and business security".
The 2012 Conference & Exhibition will kick off on Sunday 15 April with the President's Reception. Over the following 2 days, delegates will be able to attend 33 high-level educational sessions divided over 3 parallel tracks. In addition, the conference will feature 3 keynote presentations.
The 11th European Security Conference & Exhibition will also include various sessions on certification, convergence and standards; there will be sessions for Chief Security Officers (CSOs) organised by the CSO Roundtable of ASIS International;
