KBC Networks to present wireless range at Intersec 2010

London, UK

KBC Networks has chosen Intersec 2010 to present its MiniLink wireless transmission products to The Middle East security market.

Designed specifically for security and surveillance systems, the KBC wireless Ethernet products provide secure and reliable transmission where it is not possible or cost effective to run cable. The KBC MiniLink range, which sits alongside its fibre optic and networking products, includes point-to-point, point-to-multi-point and mesh products.

Owen Price, KBC Middle East sales manager commented, "KBC has grown from simply being a provider of fibre optic transmission to a provider of transmission solutions that span a range of media. Our aim is to offer each customer the best connectivity for their particular system rather than steering them towards one technology simply because that's all our portfolio holds. KBC can now offer fibre optic, wireless and hybrid solutions."

The most recent addition to the KBC MiniLink wireless series is the Mesh unit: a dual-radio; mesh networking product that supports the transmission of 10/100 Ethernet signals. Each node operates within the license-free 2.4 & 5GHz radio bands at data rates up to 54Mbs, and is designed to route Ethernet traffic along the strongest connected path to ensure the highest possible throughput and system performance. Redundancy can also be established by connecting multiple nodes to one another, and a secure encryption method is also used to prevent unauthorized access to the system.
