Honeywell releases Rapid Eye Multi Media DSP

Honeywell has recently released Rapid Eye Multi Media DSP, the newest addition to the Rapid Eye Series of surveillance recording equipment featuring event driven and real time video recording and live local viewing.

A 16 channel Digital Video Recorder, the Rapid Eye Multi-Media DSP system is designed to simultaneously record, search, and transmit live and recorded video, audio, and data transactions. Benefits of the system include superior live video images, dramatically improved capture rates and recorded images, event-driven and accelerated response recording, and increased internal storage capacity up to 2 TB.
"The new Rapid Eye system is ideal for applications where centralised video management is essential and users require fully-featured remote capabilities," said Chris Koetsier, EMEA marketing leader for Honeywell Video Systems. "Video verification and sophisticated integration with existing physical security infrastructures, such as alarm panels and access control systems, are the hallmarks of this new Rapid Eye system."
The Rapid Eye Multi-Media DSP system consists of three major components: a new video recorder unit capable of real-time digital video recording; a workstation/server-based administration tool (ADMIN) capable of enterprise-wide site and user management; and a feature-rich, workstation-based program (VIEW) that offers operators complete remote capabilities.
Rapid Eye DSP is ideal for use in commercial, industrial, local authority, financial, or retail markets, and it is compatible with all previous generations of Rapid Eye units - making it easy to integrate into existing Rapid Eye or CCTV installations and physical security systems.
