The DS-8100HWI-ST, with this Netra platform, has an innovative design utilising dual systems – one in operation and the other providing a continual backup. If the operation system does crash, this back-up system is immediately activated, thereby ensuring zero data loss and continued DVR stability. Critically, this transition is automatic, with users not noticing any operational problems in relation to the crash.

Furthermore, the DS-8100HWI-ST supports multi-channel synchronous playback, as well as simultaneous HDMI and VGA output at 1920×1080 resolution. In addition, HDD group management technology is adopted to maximize storage space; redundant recording and Esata high-speed backup are also supported.
