Hikvision IP cameras get smarter

Firstly Hikvision is introducing 'Smart ROI '. Based on user-defined ROI (region of interest), cameras with this feature can decrease a non-ROI's image quality to save on maximum bandwidth and the device's load.
Secondly, cameras embedded with the 'Smart SVC (Scalable Video Coding) feature are able to decrease storage data fps, so as time passes, storage space is saved for newer data.
By taking advantage of Hikvision's industry-leading design, their newest outdoor domes feature a 'Smart Heater' that improves the cameras' usability in cold and freezing weather conditions. This Smart Heater automatically pre-heats before the camera boots-up, and intelligently turns on or off according to the camera's internal temperature.
The 'Smart Facial / Motion Detection' features are some of the newest functions added to Hikvision's professional line of IP cameras. They are able to detect up-to 24 human faces, then capture their facial images or trigger an alarm.
There is also the ABF (Auto Back Focus) feature for box camera models, and a "One Touch Focus" motorised vari-focal lens for dome and bullet camera models. These are the 'Smart Focus' features that benefit users with convenient and easy installation.
With 'Smart VDQ (Video Quality Detection)', Hikvision's professional line of IP cameras will automatically self-diagnose and detect any issues relating to storage, network connection, lens direction, or tampering.
Areas such as smart design, smart analytics, and smart storage are also being actively explored to strengthen Hikvision's product competitiveness in the global market.
