Euralam announces formation of Cross Party Group

Euralarm has recognised that due to the diversity and the plethora of different representations of the fire and security industry it must be impossible for MEP's to identify and liaise with the relevant decision makers, therefore, with the formation of the XPG (Cross Party Group) we feel that it will be in the best interest for our profession to offer the MEP's a single of point contact.

This is why Euralarm has - with the support of MEP Geoffrey van Orden - taken the initiative to found the XPG, the European conduit to lobby and discuss the interests of the Fire and Security industry with the Members of European Parliament and authorities within the European Commission. The XPG platform is offered to all stakeholders of the wider world of the Fire & Security profession.
Their aim is to:
• Become the recognised voice for the Fire and Security industry in the EU parliament.
• To establish a Cross Parliamentary Group championed by Geoffrey Van Orden MEP
• To enable experts within the profession to be available for consultation on European issues and facilitate open communication lines between European Politicians and the wider world of Fire & Security.

Euralarm the Association of European Manufacturers and Installers of Fire and Security was established in 1970. Members include National Associations of 16 European countries along with individual Industry Members. Euralarm represent around 700 companies with an approx turnover of ?3.5 billion.
