Improvements in recording flexibility ensure efficient recording, while the maximum storage capacity has been increased to meet the needs of the largest installation. To make sure that as much evidence as you want can be taken away, all New BX2 units now come with an integrated DVD writer.
The New BX2 has had many additional improvements to local operation based on customer feedback, while keeping its familiar and easy to use controls.
BX2 now has NetVu Connected technology built-in to ensure maximum compatibility with future developments in networked security. NetVu Connected technology enables the new BX2 to fully interoperate with other NetVu Connected products from DM including the DV-IP Decoder, NetVu ObserVer and PDA Viewers. Providing interoperability between the worlds leading security companies, NetVu uses industry standard networking protocols supported by a wide range of third-party integration products and SDKs to ensure on-going compatibility for the future.
The introduction of MultiMode makes the recording capabilities of the BX2 even more powerful. Taking the functionality and flexibility of DM DVR's to a new level, MultiMode Recording gives greater control over individual camera settings by providing settable recording resolutions (4CIF down to QCIF), dynamically switchable MPEG-4/JPEG compression settings and configurable record rates per camera. This increased flexibility allows greater freedom in how CCTV systems can be configured and allows the user to record cameras how they like, when they like.
Previous versions of BX2 have provided up to 1.2TB in the box, and up to 3.2TB using external storage. With higher density hard drives available, the range now includes a 2TB and 3TB option. In addition external storage can now be expanded to over 10TB.
The ability to archive evidence locally has been dramatically improved with the ability to generate 4.7GB DVD-R recordings where traditionally BX2 was limited to 700MB CD-R media. The BX2 CD writers have been replaced with DVD writers, while still retaining the ability to record to CD media where less data is needed. Selective archiving is also supported to up to 650MB of CD-R media.
