Dahua's first HLS camera

Hangchou, China

Dahua Technology recently released its 700TVL day/night HLS camera (DH-CA-F681E) which incorporates the Sony Effio-S 960H CCD chipset.
Recently great improvements have been achieved within the field of video surveillance in terms of road safety and security, and yet to achieve an image of a perfectly legible number plate when there is low illumination and still often proves difficult. This new product from Dahua is exactly targeted at this market and aims to resolve this issue with outstanding performance in terms of its image processing, colour reproduction and number plate recognition in low light conditions.

According to the company, Dahua HLS technology effectively suppresses the glare interference from the headlight and successfully removes the unwanted light area on the license plate, presenting a clear and perfectly legible plate number. Meanwhile, the driver and other objects inside the car can also be seen in the second picture. This additional information may well be of great help to the authorities in terms of crime detection or post-event investigation and the evidence collection process.

In addition Dahua has also created a new and original design for the on screen display and settings for the DH-CA-F681E by moving away from what they term as the rather monotonous style or design, that can be found everywhere on products in today’s market. Furthermore, this camera is designed with more parameter adjustment choices allowing users to custom set up the device to meet the requirements of a wider variety of real life scenes.
