Criticalarc partners BDS

Birmingham, UK

Criticalarc and Building Defence Systems (BDS) have agreed a business partnership that sees BDS become Criticalarc’s business development representative reseller. Under the partnership BDS will cover the entire Middle East region providing business development, pre-sales support, delivery and second line technical support for Criticalarc’s distributed command and control solution, Safezone.

John Benton, Managing Director of BDS, said, "Criticalarc are the global leaders in cloud based situational awareness and offer us a complimentary solution to our existing portfolio of products and services. We are very excited about the opportunity to represent Criticalarc across the region and look forward to educating the market on its value for campus and multi-site security operations, especially in the education sector.”

Darren Chalmers-Stevens, Criticalarc Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), added, "The Middle East represents a tremendous opportunity for Criticalarc, with GCC nations investing vast amounts of money into the education sector for the next generation of citizens. In addition, major  infrastructure projects are well under way to support the region’s continued growth, and we believe our product is well suited for these diverse sectors.

"A natural choice, we partnered with BDS for their expertise in the region and their long standing relationships with an extensive network of partners and end users. We share a similar vision for the market and look forward to supporting BDS and their partners by serving the demand for Criticalarc’s flagship offering Safezone, which extends existing security infrastructures by safeguarding personnel beyond physical perimeters while optimising the performance of manned services teams.”

Deployed in hours, Safezone delivers mobile and flexible command and control out in the field as well as in control room environments. For end users Safezone represents having a Help Point in their pocket, eliminating any further capital investments in fixed Help Points. With zero-cost mass notifications and a lone worker check-in feature, Safezone enables cross-campus collaboration and coordination during major incidents as well as making everyday team operations more efficient across a global deployment.
