Cieffe displays new camera at IIPSEC 2007

Coventry, UK

CIEFFE will show its new 2 Mpixels sensor at IIPSEC 2007 in Coventry. The camera is able to elaborate images using an MPEG4 compression algorithm, 20 times more effective than the traditional JPEG algorithm.

The Nettuno MegaPX's high resolution (1600*1200) provides good quality video. MPEG4 Main Profile compression algorithm ensures the lowest bandwidth demand. The Nettuno MegaPX can send to the network high resolution images - 1600 x 1200 or 2 Mpixels - at 12/15 fps, or real time images (25/30 fps) with a 1280 x 1024 resolution (1,3 Mpixel).

Furthermore the MPEG4 compression allows to optimize data in a much more efficient way than traditional compression methods (JPEG), thus eliminating problems related to the available bandwidth and reducing traffic and storage costs. It is possible to achieve an extremely high resolution with an extremely small bandwidth usage.

Specifications:

• High resolution images - 1600 x 1200 (2 Mpixels) - at 12/ 15 fps .
• Real time images - 1280 x 1024 (1,3 Mpixel) - at 25/30 fps.
• No interference, maximum dynamic range of 120 dB.
• Low noise video signal and striking detail.
• MPEG4 Main Profile, MPEG4 ES Raw, JPEG algorithms on board.
• Reduced bandwidth demand.
