Euralarm focuses on fire & security industry skills shortage

Zug, Switzerland

The fire safety and security industry is facing a talent shortage, as many experienced professionals are retiring and fewer young people are entering the field. This is a challenge, but also an opportunity, for the industry to attract and retain the best and brightest talent from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Euralarm will organise a live-webinar on attracting and retaining talent on Thursday 18 April 2024.

Euralarm and its members believe that talent is our most valuable asset, and the organisation emphasises the importance of being committed to providing a rewarding and fulfilling career for employees. In the webinar ‘Attracting and retaining talent in the fire safety and security industry’ Euralarm presents some of the practices for attracting and retaining young people to enter the fire safety and security industry, such as:

  • Apprenticeships offer a combination of on-the-job training and classroom learning, allowing apprentices to gain practical skills and qualifications while earning a salary. It is a great way to attract and develop talent in the fire safety and security industry.
  • Programmes by national associations that support attracting new talent.
  • Development programs that contribute to attracting and retaining talent.

This webinar will be organised to provide students and graduates with information about working in the fire safety and security industry and industry managers, HRM and recruitment departments but also small and midsized companies with information on how to attract and retain their future workforce.
