Smile broadens the ways employees can interact with the B-Comm platform while remaining connected to the Human Capital Management (HCM) and enterprise systems their organisations already use. The launch comes as employers look for faster, more reliable ways to keep frontline teams productive. New research from Workday and Dailypay found that 70% of frontline workers say mobile tools are important to their work experience, while only 53% are satisfied with the mobile tools available to them.
Available immediately on Apple Ipad, the rollout will extend to smartphones, other tablets, web clients, and physical terminals, providing a consistent experience across locations, roles, and devices. Optional facial recognition further simplifies clocking in and out and offers another authentication method.
“Every workplace requires a different approach to time recording,” said Mark Allen, Associate Vice President, Workforce Solutions at Dormakaba Americas. “For more than a century, we have helped organisations manage workforce time. Smile for B-Comm builds on that experience by giving our customers more choice in how they do it.”
Employees using Smile can record working time, clock in and out, and manage breaks and meals within a single app. Labour tracking supports cost centres, jobs, projects, and worktags, while self-service capabilities provide access to messaging, attestations, and balance views. The solution supports SAP HCM and Successfactors, Workday, Oracle HCM, Peoplesoft, Sopra HR, and others.
