MACE is an acronym for Mobile Access Control Entities. With the introduction of this platform, Nedap responds to the global shift of smartphone credentials replacing physical cards. MACE supports Bluetooth, NFC and QR-codes to identify people using virtual credentials, which are stored in a MACE app. This app will be available for both Iphone and Android from Ifsec onwards. QR-codes are used as an alternative in situations where it is undesirable or impossible to use wireless communication technologies.
