Groenlo, The Netherlands

Nedap and the other winners collected their Detektor International Innovation Awards in Copenhagen

Nedap has been recognised with the Detektor International Innovation Award in the Access Control category for its MOOV vehicle access control system.

During the official ceremony at the Sectech show, MOOV received the Innovative Achievement Award. MOOV is the world’s first access control system specifically designed for vehicle entrances in cities, corporate estates and other parking facilities. The award recognises innovative products that contribute to the advancement of the security industry.

The panel of judges commended Nedap for intelligent engineering.  “Specifically designed to cleverly optimise traffic flow whilst still maintaining a high degree of versatility and unhindered access for emergency services – Nedap has intelligently engineered the world’s first dedicated vehicle access control platform.”

Earlier this year, Nedap launched MOOV. It is the world’s first access control system specifically designed to optimise mobility in smart cities, corporate estates and other parking facilities. With this new solution, Nedap responds to the worldwide trend towards smarter cities and the increasing focus on mobility challenges in those cities. MOOV offers dedicated modules for access control to cities, business parks with multiple tenants and pre-booked parking spaces.

“Nedap is very pleased with the acknowledgement and confidence in the first dedicated vehicle access control system: MOOV,” says Michiel Rijssemus, Business Development Manager at Nedap Mobility Solutions. “The award recognises our commitment to offer innovative solutions for the mobility challenges that cities and corporate facilities face nowadays.”

The Detektor International Award rewards and encourages research and development within the security technology field. This prize is a confirmation and a recognition of products that stand up to the criteria of outstanding innovations and contributions to the advancement of the security industry. The jury, consisting of members of the editorial board of Detektor, gave their vote after the nomination process.

During the Sectech show on the 16th and 17th of November, MOOV was demonstrated by Nedap's regional partner Vitani.
