The GIT Award for security technology is an annual contest conducted by the GIT publishing house in Germany. It is the tenth year for the GIT Security Awards, and the jury have already conducted the pre-selection process and have nominated around ten products in each category for final voting. The Dahua 4K Ultra camera is classified under “C – CCTV, Video Security”.

The Dahua 4K ultra HD network IR-bullet IPC-HFW81200E-Z utilises a 1/1.8-inch exmor sensor, providing effective image quality and low-light performance, its IR LEDs work at up to 50 metres, which helps to render clear images in dim or dark surroundings. The camera supports a maximum of 30fps@8MP(3840x2160) real-time encoding, producing high definition images, which plays a vital role in video surveillance, especially in applications such as areas around cities, parking lots, harbours and plazas due to high demand for quality.

In addition, the device is also equipped with a 3.1-13mm motorised lens, which is capable of zooming and focusing automatically at the same time with speed and accuracy. Moreover, the camera provides functions such as ultra defog, RoI, and intelligent detections, including trip-wire, intrusion, scene change, missing/abandoned; making surveillance clearer, smarter and user-friendly.

Since the camera is equipped with the latest DSP, IPC-HFW81200E-Z it consumes much less power, and its bitrate has been decreased to around 8Mbps thanks to high-efficiency compression encoding, which consumes much less power and is therefore better for the environment.

This 4K camera is also compact in design and easily installed -- a single screw can mount the camera, thus saving a great deal of time and cost on installation. The external SD card installation and video output are also designed to be convenient during installation and maintenance.
